More complex layout and graphic design can be requested at a fee of $60.00 per hour. |

These are set-up with precisely the correct dimensions and are set at the correct d.p.i. resolution. They also include a 3mm bleed area, where appropriate, so that when cutting down there is no danger of a white non-printed border being cut along the edges. |

*Thermal Re-Transfer - S&M Music Inc. uses the Rimage AutoEverest CD/DVD printer. This process allows CD & DVD discs to be printed at the quality of silk screened printing, yet at the affordability of a small print job. The pigmented ink is UV protected, ensuring vibrant colors throughout the life of a disc. The ink is not water based; there are no issues with the label smearing. Since the image is scratch proof, it enables the disc to be used for commercial distribution because Everest printed discs can withstand the rigors of day-to-day consumer handling. |

Why invest in a CD/DVD printer? The quality of the print has increased dramatically in recent years and we find this process quicker and safer than using stick-on paper labels. Here are some facts about paper labels:
From www.information week.com ...the only disks that failed were those that I had covered with a glue-on paper label from a print-it-yourself CD label-maker kit. Several of these labeled CDs were, in fact, totally unreadable by every means I tried (including special data-recovery software); all the data on those CDs is just plain gone. My best guess is the glue on these do-it-yourself labels interacted with either the foil or the dye, rendering the CDs useless.
From world.casio.com...Many CD-R label printers on the market today print paper labels that are affixed to the disc. This can cause the disc to go off center, which can make high-speed disc operations impossible and can cause read errors. In addition, paper labels tend to peel, which can cause damage to a CD drive or CD player mechanism.
